Iowa School Finance Manual: A Guide to Understanding the Iowa School Foundation Program

This publication provides a basic level of understanding of school finance in Iowa from a working, practical, everyday approach. The guide explains the various terms used by the Department of Education, Department of Management, and Chapter 257, Iowa Code. This is a working document for developing a budget or interpreting funding to the public and is scheduled for updates in the fall of FY 2013.
